When do we lose interest in holding our parents hands? Why does it become embarrassing? We spend the first years of our life direly dependent on our parents and then we become ashamed of it almost overnight. Then once we have jobs and families ourselves- we become too busy for our families. It’s an ugly cycle that we breed and at some point we must realize that there are some things that we must put above ourselves- family is one of those things. Just think... you are going to be in your parents position one day. So go on... kiss your mother in public, tell your father you love him, go to the movies together and invite them over for dinner- life is way too short.
